PROGRAM NOTES

My dear friend and colleague Leopoldo Erice invited me, alongside several uOttawa composition colleagues, to contribute a miniature for his Piano Project, whose 2026 edition was devoted to music of the 21st century. I composed this moody piece in one evening, an unfurling meditation on its opening four notes.
