Red Moonrise over Lac Rhéaume is a 4-minute work for string orchestra that captures the exhilaration of an unanticipated moonrise over a dark and tranquil lake. An expansive melody, from which all the music's material is derived, layered with slow undulating triplets often set against duple metre, evokes a world of expectation and mystery.
